My name is Vuma and I am currently in my third year of my law degree, and I have a degree in international relations. These past four years of study have been enriching and have grown my character in ways I could not have predicted and I am grateful for the opportunity. I am a child of the Most High and I love being able to love people daily, the way Christ loves me.
I am not the type to burst into conversation about Christianity as most do so easily, but when they ask why I care why I love, why I do what I do – He is the core of my response. A Zambian-born Aussie living in Perth for 13 years now, I am 1 of 3 siblings to the most committed, selfless, God fearing and tell it like it is parents. I am passionate about natural hair for black women. I have been natural for just over a year, and I love to see other black women join this journey of self-discovery. No, we are not defined by our hair, but there is something undeniably unique about black women deciding that we are beautiful the way God created us to be, in all of our kinky, afro-centric, diverse beauty. I am also an upstarting blogger contributing to ‘Afro Hair Care Australia’, and have recently started my own ‘Honest Undergraduate Law Student’.
