Ann Nyaga is a Registered Nurse with a commitment to her community and a thirst for knowledge in both her career field and beyond. Ann’s interests extend through into community involvement despite her demanding role. She has been recognised by both her colleagues and the wider community for her voluntary work. Throughout her life, the common thread of meaningful contribution has been ever present.

After completing a Bachelor of Nursing in 2011 followed by a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing in 2013, Ann began her career as a Registered Nurse. She has since worked in many prominent healthcare organisations including BaptistcareBethanie Inc, Swan District Hospital, Kalamunda Hospital and most recently, a pioneer at the new St John of God Midland Public & Private Hospital.

Driven to give back to her community she previously held the position of Membership Co-ordinator as well as, Vice President of the Kenyan Community in WA and was heavily involved in organising the Inaugural Kenya Diaspora Conference.

In recognition of her work in the community and dedication to healthcare, Ann was awarded the Kenyan Community Presidential Award for Excellence in Youth Leadership and honoured as a nominee of the WA Young Achievers Award 2017.  She continues serving her local community as the current President of the Mindarie-Clarkson Liberal Branch.
